Faculty (standing and non-standing) are eligible to apply for Arts Integration Grants.
What do the grants support?
Arts Integration Grants are intended to support embedding the arts and humanities into non-arts courses to provide innovative ways of conveying knowledge and engaging students. Grant-supported activities must take place in the Summer or Fall of 2019 or Spring of 2020.
How much can you apply for?
Applicants may request up to $10,000. Individuals must partner with a department, program or center, which will serve as the fiscal conduit for the grant.
The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation is no longer receiving inquiries for its 2018/2019 grant cycle. Our annual grants process will reopen in the fall of 2019. Please sign up for our newsletter to stay informed.
2018/2019 grant applications will be evaluated by a Sachs Program Committee and by The Sachs Program Advisory Board. Deliberations will be driven by The Sachs Program’s priorities, will take into account the criteria, and will consider other Penn resources available to the applicant for this work. Decisions will be made in April 2019.
Sachs Program staff will do their best to meet with all individuals and groups interested in submitting an application.
The Sachs Program has limited resources, and will therefore not be able to fund all requests.
Matching funding is strongly encouraged, when possible, but is not required.
The Sachs Program aims to support projects that meet the criteria and which best align with our priorities for grantmaking. Should a proposal or application not meet the criteria and/or not align with our priorities, Sachs Program staff may recommend that an applicant withdraw from the pool.
